The Old Homestead
Rooted in the 1950’s, Rutledge Acres, once a cattle farm where Ken and his sister Susan spent their summers as young children, has transformed into a 360 acre haven. Ken's dream of owning the property and creating a resort-style camping ground materialized in 1987 when he and his wife, Julia, acquired the first 100 acres. Two additional sites were added in 1991, forming the present 360-acre farm. Following Ken's passing, Julia committed to realizing his dreams, resulting in the creation of Rutledge Acres—a cherished haven that embodies a lifelong vision of community and nature.

What a great spot to spend a night or two. Large level area to park RV’s. Wonderful views across the nearby valley which was in full autumn glory. Firepit AND firewood stacked up ready to use. Manicured walking trails to explore. Short drive to Saugeen River and Lake Huron shoreline. Such a wonderful surprise!
