rich in history

The Old Homestead

Rutledge Acres has a history rooted in the 1950s when it served as a cattle farm where Ken and his sister worked. In 1987, Ken and his wife, Julia, fulfilled Ken's dream of owning the property and establishing a resort-style camping ground by acquiring the initial 100 acres. Two more sites were added in 1991, expanding the farm to its current 360 acres. After Ken's passing, Julia dedicated herself to bringing his dreams to life, giving rise to Rutledge Acres—an enduring haven reflecting a lifelong vision of community and nature.
